Boys & Girls Club of Central Appalachia would like to thank Dennis Courtney and the staff at STREAMWORKS at ETSU for helping us raise the bar on our STEM programming! We are lucky to have you as community partners and educational peers. Middle school can be a tumultuous time for students when social priorities outweigh academic ones. STREAMWORKS' programming, such as Robot Drone League and MATE Underwater Robotics, helps “connect the dots” between STEM and real-life and makes science and math feel relevant for kids, keeping them engaged and interested. STREAMWORKS make the dreams work!
THANK YOU Summer STEM Academy teachers and interns!!! Boys & Girls Club of Central Appalachia sincerely appreciates your dedication to teaching STEM programming to our Buchanan County Public School students. You all have been a joy and pleasure to work with. Thank you for sacrificing half of your summer vacation for the greater good; our kids! We are so blessed and honored to have you on our team. You have made a lasting impression on your students.

Thank you (L to R): Mrs. Kayla Cantrell (teacher), Tanner Hartford, Wade Spake, Dustin Blankenship, John Thornbury, Mrs. Staci Griffey (teacher), Morgan Blankenship, Angela Stacy, and Cameron Johnson. You guys and gals rock! We know all of our interns will be successful in their future education and professional endeavors. One or two of our interns may even want to become a teacher after four weeks of Summer STEM Academy. GREAT EDUCATORS START HERE!!!
